CHAPTER 214

An Act to amend and reenact § 28-201.1 of the Code of Virginia, as to
leasing of certain bottoms in James River prohibited.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1. That § 28-201.1 of the Code of Virginia be amended and reenacted
as follows:

§ 28-201.1. Leasing of certain bottoms in James River prohibited.—
The Commission of Fisheries shall have no power to lease any oyster
bottom in the James River, or its tributaries, above the James River
Bridge, west of the James River Bridge, not theretofore leased, and nothing
herein contained shall apply to any renewal of existing leases.
