An Act to amend the Code of Virginia by adding a section numbered
22-119.1 providing for the payment to certain counties for school
purposes of certain funds received from the Secretary of the Treas-
ury of the United States.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
1. That the Code of Virginia be amended by adding a section num-
bered 22-119.1, as follows:
§ 22-119.1. All moneys which have been paid or may hereafter be
paid to the State Treasurer by the Secretary of the Treasury of the
United States under the provisions of Section 5, Public Law 526, 79th
Congress, end Session, shall be apportioned by the State Comptroller
among the counties in which lands acquired by the United States for
flood control purposes were leased, according to the amounts derived from
each county as stated by the Secretary of the Treasury of the United
States, and shall be paid by the State Treasurer to the treasurers of such
counties on warrants of the Comptroller, and such county treasurers shall
receive the same and place the funds to the credit of the public schools
of their respective counties.
2. An emergency exists and this act is in force from its passage.

cities; population of counties and cities; lists of Senators; list of Senators
showing number of seat; list of members of the House of Delegates; list
of members of the House showing number of seat; list of counties and
cities showing names and postoffice of respective Senators and Delegates;
referring to page number of 1952 Acts, are herein incorporated by refer-
ence with the following changes:
POPULATION OF COUNTIES AND CITIES
Page 1347.—Elizabeth City County, including Hampton and Phoebus
are now the city of Hampton. Warwick County is now the city of
Warwick.
STATE OFFICIALS
Page 1350.—The Lieutenant Governor and President of the Senate is
now A. E. 8. Stephens.
Crawley F. Joyner, Jr., has resigned as the Commissioner of the
Division of Motor Vehicles and Chester H. Lamb is Acting Com-
missioner.
E. H. Williams, Jr., has resigned as Director of the Department of
Professional and Occupational Registration and has been succeeded
by Turner N. Burton.
Arthur B. Gathright has been succeeded by Ralph C. Eaton as Di-
rector of the Division of Purchase and Printing.
Thelma Y. Gordon has been succeeded by Martha Bell Conway as
Secretary of the Commonwealth and ex officio Secretary to the
Governor.
