An Act to amend Chapter 163 of the Acts of Assembly of 1930, approved
March 20, 1930, which Chapter provided a new charter for the town
of Burkeville, by adding a section numbered 27-a relating to the con-
solidation of certain offices. P

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1. That Chapter 163 of the Acts of Assembly of 1930, approved March
20, 1930, be amended by adding a section numbered 27-a as follows:

§ 27-a. The duties of the offices of town clerk, town treasurer and
town commissioner of the revenue or the duties of any two of such offices,
may, by ordinance, be combined and performed by one person.

2. An emergency exists and this act is in force from its passage.
