An Act to authorize the governing bodies of the several counties to adopt
ordinances prohibiting certain persons from parking in the streets
and highways, and to provide a penalty. MH ;

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
1. § 1. The governing bodies of the several counties may, by appro-
priate ordinance, prohibit any person, association or corporation from the
parking of automobiles, trucks, or any other automotive equipment on
or alongside the roads, highways and streets of the State in the county,
when such person, association or corporation is parking any such auto-
mobile, truck or automotive equipment in pursuance of commercial
purposes. The provisions of this section shall not apply to motor vehicle
carriers when picking up or discharging passengers.
§ 2. Violations of the provisions of any such ordinance shall be a
misdemeanor. |
