CHAPTER 596

An Act to authorize a conveyance by the State Highway Commissioner
of land lying in the city of Danville and formerly embraced in the
right of way for State Route No. 125. rH 6721

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
1. That the State Highway Commissioner be and he is hereby authorized
and empowered to convey by special warranty deed all such interest as
the Commonwealth may have in a certain strip of land formerly in Pittsyl-
vania County but lying now wholly within the city of Danville embraced
within the right of way of State Route No. 125, such route having been
now relocated upon new right of way obtained by the city of Danville, such
land herein authorized to be conveyed being nineteen one-hundredths of
an acre and was conveyed to the Commonwealth by deed of March six,
nineteen hundred forty, to which reference is hereby made, from Riverside
and Dan River Cotton Mills, Incorporated, as additional land for State
Route No. 125, Project 119-cl, from the intersection of Route 29 South
of Danville and intersection of Rouse 58 West of Danville shown on sheets
3-13, inclusive, of the project of Route 125 on record in the State Depart-
ment of Highways. The conveyance herein authorized is to be made to
Dan River Mills, Incorporated, when so requested by the city of Danville.
