An Act to amend and reenact § 54-210 of the Code of Virginia and to add
new sections numbered 54-210.1 and 54-210.2 to the Code of Virginia,
all of which relate to license fees.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
1. That § 54-210 of the Code of Virginia be amended and reenacted, and
that the Code be amended by adding sections numbered 54-210.1 and
54-210.2, as follows:
§ 54-210. For the purpose of providing funds for the administration
of this chapter the annual fee for such license shall be as follows:
(1) If the entire gross amount of business done by any such person
during the preceding year shall not exceed twelve thousand dollars, such
fee shall be ten dollars;
(2) If the entire gross amount of such business exceeds twelve thou-
sand dollars, such fee shall be ten dollars plus one dollar per thousand for
all such business in excess of twelve thousand dollars; provided, however,
that such fee shall not exceed forty dollars in any case;
Every application for an original license by a new business shall be
accompanied by a minimum fee of twenty-five dollars, of which amount
ten dollars shall be refunded and fifteen dollars retained as an inspection
fee tf such license is not granted.
Such license fees shall be collected by the Board, and shall be disbursed
as hereinafter provided.
§ 54-210.1. In addition to the fees required by § 54-210, there shall
be a fee of five dollars for each branch office or store of such business.
§ 54-210.2. A penalty of ten per centum shall be added to and
collected upon all fees required by this chapter which shall be delinquent.
