CHAPTER 538

An Act to amend and reenact § 46-17.1 of the Code of Virginia, relating
to the reports to be made by certain persons. rH 564]

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

a That § 46-17.1 of the Code of Virginia be amended and reenacted as
ollows:

§ 46-17.1. The person in charge of any garage or repair shop to
which is brought any motor vehicle that shows evidence of having been
struck by a bullet shall report to the nearest police station or to the State
police, within twenty-four hours after the motor vehicle is received, giving
the engine number, registration number, serial number or identification
peat and the name and address of the owner or operator of the vehicle
i own.
