CHAPTER 382
An Act to amend the Code of Virginia by adding thereto a_ section
numbered 15-5.1 so as to extend the police power of certain cities
over certain lands owned by such cities, and lying beyond the corpo-
rate lamits of such cities.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
1. That the Code of Virginia be amended by adding a new section thereto,
to be numbered § 15-5.1, to provide as follows:
15-5.1. The council of any city having a population of not less
than eighty-five thousand nor more than one hundred thousand inhabitants,
and owning and operating a municipal airport, public hospital or sani-
tarium, public water supply or watershed or public park or recreational
area located beyond the corporate limits of such city shall have and may
exercise full police power over the same, and over persons using the same,
and may, by ordinance, prescribe rules and regulations for the operation
of the same and for the conduct of all persons using the same and may,
further, provide penalties for the violation of such rules and regulations,
such penalties, however, not to exceed those provided by general law for -
misdemeanors.
