An Act to amend the Code of Virginia by adding a section numbered
62-198, relating to the operation of boats in a reckless manner; and
to provide a penalty therefor.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
1. . That the Code of Virginia be amended by adding a section numbered
62-193 as follows:
§ 62-193. It shall be unlawful for any person to operate a boat upon
any tidal waters of this Commonwealth recklessly or at a speed or in a
manner so as endangers life, limb or property of any person. Any person
violating this section shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and upon
conviction shall be fined not exceeding one hundred dollars.
The provisions of this section shall not apply to any bona fide race
or regatta, sponsored by a duly organized yacht or boat club.
