An Act to authorize, subject to certain conditions, the Virginia Commis-
sion of Game and Inland Fisheries to sell and convey certain property
in New Kent county to the Department of Conservation and Develop-
ment, Forestry Division.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
1. § 1. Subject to the approval of the Governor in writing first
obtained, the Virginia Commission of Game and Inland Fisheries is
authorized to sell and convey, upon such terms and conditions as it deems
proper, to the Department of Conservation and Development, Division of
Forestry, the following described property:
All that certain piece or parcel of land lying and being in Cumber-
land Magisterial District, New Kent County, Virginia, located above the
ordinary high water mark of the Walker Dam Project, approximately
three (3) miles East of Providence Forge, referred to as the “Game
Farm’, and containing eight hundred fifty-six and sixty-nine one hun-
dredths (856.69) acres, more or less.
. Such conveyance shall be by deed in form approved by the
Attorney General of Virginia. .
§ 3. The area shall be used, along with other uses, as a game refuge.
Provided, if, in the opinion of the State Forester, the Commission of Game
and Inland Fisheries concurring, birds or game animals damage the crops
or tree seedlings growing on the area, the State Forester shall and hereby
is authorized to open the area to limited hunting during the regular
hunting season, or to use such other methods as he deems proper to control
damage done on crops or tree seedlings by birds or game animals.
