CHAPTER 87
AN ACT to fix the season when squirrels may lawfully be taken in
certain counties and to provide penalties for violations.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
1. § 1. It shall be lawful to hunt, capture, take and kill
squirrels in the counties of Surry, Prince George, King and Queen,
Middlesex, Gloucester and Mathews only with the period beginning
November twenty of each year and extending through January
twenty following; provided that if the general hunting season for
upland game be shortened by law or by regulation then the sea-
son for hunting squirrels in the counties of Surry, Prince George,
King and Queen, Middlesex, Gloucester and Mathews shall likewise
be shortened.
§ 2. Any person hunting, capturing, taking or killing
squirrels at any time other than that herein anthorized shall be
guilty of a misdemeanor.
