CHAPTER 84

AN ACT to amend the Code of 1950 by adding a new section
numbered 8-701.1, to provide for attorneys fees to be
allowed upon unrepresented shares in case of a partition
suit.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1. That the Code of 1950 be amended by adding a section num-
bered 8-701.1, as follows:

§ 8-701.1. Allowance of attorneys fees out of unrepre-
sented shares.—In any partition suit when there are unrepre-
sented shares, the court shall allow reasonable fees to the attor-
ney or attorneys bringing the suit on account of the services
rendered to the parceners unrepresented by counsel.
