Chap. 39.—An ACT to Provide for the Removal of Certain Causes from
the Docket of the Special Court of Appeals to the Docket of the Su-
preme Court of Appeals.
Approved January 17, 1873.
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly, That hereafter,
when any cause, which has been certified to the special court
of appeals for trial, shall be called for trial in said court, and
it shall appear that one of the judges of said special court of
appeals has tried said cause as a circuit judge, or it be deemed
proper by the court, for any other good cause, it shall be the
duty of said special court of appeals to transfer said cause to
the supreme court of appeals, with a certificate of such fact,
and to proceed no further therein ; and thereupon, said cause
shall be re-docketed in the supreme court of appeals.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
Cuaar. 40.—An ACT to Authorize the Collector of Pungoteague township
to Collect the District Schoul Taxes for the year eighteen hundred and
seventy-one.
Approved January 18, 1873.
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly, That the collector
of taxes for Pungoteague township, in the county of Accomack,
be, and he is hereby, authorized and required to collect the
taxes voted by the people of said township for district school
purposes for the year eighteen hundred and seventy-one ; and
he is hereby vested with the same powers to enforce the collec-
tion of the same as he would have in collecting said taxes
within the time prescribed by law.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
