Chap. 388.—An ACT to Amend and Re-enact Section one of Ohapter
twenty-one of the Code of 1860, Concerning the Superintendent of
Public Buildings.

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly, That section one
of chapter twenty-one of the Code of eighteen hundred and
sixty be amended and re-enacted so as to read as follows:
§ 1. There shall be a superintendent of public buildings, to
be elected by a joint vote of the two houses of the general as-
sembly for the term of two years, who shall qualify by taking
the oath required of other officers of the state,and give bond
in a penalty of ten thousand dollars for the faithful discharge
of his duties, to be approved by the governor and filed in the
office of the auditor of public accounts. He may be removed
for good cause by a concurrent vote of both houses of the
general assembly, but a majority of all the members elected to.
each house must concur in such vote, and the cause of such
removal shall be entered on the journal of each house. ©
2. This act shall be in force from January the first, eighteen
hundred and seventy-four. ,
