CHAPTER 522
AN ACT to amend and reenact § 28-51 of the Code of 1950,
relating to unlawful fishing within certain fishing landings,
so as to prohibit fishing of any regularly hauled fishing
landing in the Potomac River. ]

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
1. That § 28-51 of the Code of 1950 be amended and reenacted
as follows:
§ 28-51. No person shall haul, drift, or fish any seine, or
set any gill net, pound net, or fixed device of any kind within
the waters, bounds, or berth of any regularly hauled fishing
landing, or opposite to and within a quarter of a mile of any
part of the shore of the owner of any such fishery. This section
shall include the waters of the Potomac River.
2. And be it enacted, that upon the taking effect in the State
of Maryland of the provisions prescribed in this act, the Gover-
nor of Virginia shall issue his proclamation, declaring the pro-
visions of this act to be effective. |
