Chap. 378.—An ACT Providing for the Sale of Certain Estate Devised
and Bequeathed by William A. Christian, Deceased.
In force April 2, 1873.
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That
it shall be lawful for the circuit court of the county of Henrico,
upon a bill in equity filed therein by any party interested, to
direct the partition or sale of the whole or any part of the es-
tate devised or bequeathed by the late William Albert Chris-
tian in his will, notwithstanding the provisions of said will.
The bill shall state plainly all the facts tending to show the
propriety of such partition or sale ; shall, be verified by the
oath of the plaintiff, and shall in all other respects conform as
nearly as may be to the requirements of the second section of
chapter one hundred and twenty-eight of the Code of Virginia,
edition of eighteen hundred and sixty.
2. Sections three, four, five, six and seven of chapter one
hundred and twenty-eight of the Code of eighteen hundred
and sixty shall apply mutatis mutandis to any suit or proceed-
ing under the authority of this act.
3. This act shall be in force from its passage.
