Chap. 376.—An ACT to Authorize the Circuit Court of the County of
Pulaski to Decree and Confirm a Sale of Certain Real Estate of Mrs.
S. McG. Buford and Children.

Whereas, Mrs. Elizabeth Kent, deceased, late of the county
of Pulaski, who died in the year eighteen hundred and sixty-
nine, by her last will and testament devised a large real estate
to R. C. Kent, in trust for her daughter, Mrs. Sarah McG.
Buford, and the children of said Mrs. Buford; and the said
cestui que trust bemfg wholly without personal property :
therefore,
1. Beit enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That
it shall be lawful for the Circuit court of Pulaski county, and
said court is hereby fully empowered and authorized to decree
and confirm the sale of so much of said real estate as may be
necessary to pay off any debts heretofore contracted im good
faith for the benefit of said estate, and the beneficiaries under
the said will, and also so much as may be necessary to furnish,
stock and manage the residue of said estate profitably, and in
a manner suited to the station, property and position in life
of the cestui que trust: provided, that said sale shall be made
and all proceedings in said court in relation thereto shall be
had in conformity to the second section of chapter one hun-
dred and twenty-eight of the Code of Virginia, edition of
eighteen hundred and sixty.
2. This act shall be in force from it passage.
