CHAPTER 42

AN ACT to amend the Code of 1950 by adding a section num-
bered 46-279.1, relating to dimming of headlights on parked
vehicles under certain conditions.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1. That the Code of 1950 be amended by adding a section num-
bered 46-279.1, as follows:

§ 46-279.1. Dimming, etc., by parked vehicles.—Whenever
a vehicle is parked so that the beam from the headlights of such
parked vehicle will glare into the eyes of the driver of a vehicle
approaching upon a highway, it shall be the duty of the operator
ef the parked vehicle to dim or low beam such lights so that
glaring rays are not projected into the eyes of such approaching
