CHAPTER 33
AN ACT to amend Chapter 18 of the Acts of the Assembly of
1946, approved February 18, 1946, which provided a new
charter for the town of Wytheville, by adding two sections
numbered 2-a and 2-b, providing for the fixing of bail, issu-
ance of certain process and approval of sureties by the
mayor and other designated persons.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
1. That Chapter eighteen of the Acts of the Assembly of nine-
teen hundred forty-six, approved February eighteen, nineteen
hundred forty-six, be amended by adding thereto two sections
numbered 2-a and 2-b, as follows:
§ 2-a. The Mayor of the Town, or in his absence or in-
ability to perform, the Vice-Mayor, in addition to the powers
heretofore granted them, shall have power to fix bail, take bonds
and pass upon the qualifications of sureties thereto in all trials
for violations of ordinances of the Town of Wytheville.
§ 2-b. The Town Council, by resolution adopted by a
majority of its members, may designate such person or persons
as it may see fit to issue warrants and search warrants, to sum-
mons witnesses, to fix bail, take bonds and pass upon the quali-
fication of sureties thereto in all trials for violations of ordi-
nances of the Town of Wytheville.
