Chap. 352.—An ACT to Constitute Conductors and Agents of Rail-
roads Conservators of the Peace.
Approved April 1, 1873.
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly, That conductors
of railroad trains and station or depot agents are hereby de-
clared to be conservators of the peace, and they and each of
them shall have the same power to make arrests that justices
of the peace now have, except that the conductors shall only
have such power on board their respective trains, and the
agents at their respective places of business, and the said con-
ductors and agents may cause any person or persons so ar-
rested by them to be detained and delivered to the proper au-
thorities for trial as soon as practicable.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
