Chap. 35.—An ACT to Declare Banister River, in the County of Pittsyl-
vania, a Lawful Fence.
In force January 16, 1873.
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That
Banister river, in the county of Pittsylvania, from the point at
which Big Cherrystone creek empties into said river, up to
Townes’ old mill-site upon said river, be, and the same is
hereby declared, a lawful fence, as to the proprietors and occu-
pants of land on said river between said points.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
CHap, 36.—An ACT to Iixempt Citizens of Tangier, Syxes, Chincoteague,
Iicg, and Cobb’s Islands, from Jury Service.
In force January 21, 1878.
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That
the citizens of Tangier, Syxes, and Chincoteague islands, in the
county of Accomack, and Hog and Cobb's islands, in the county
of Northampton, be, and they are hereby, exempted from jury
ervice, except service on grand juries.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
