CHAPTER 154

AN ACT to amend and reenact § 22-161 of the Code of 1950, re-
lating to disposition of school property.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1. That § 22-161 of the Code of 1950 be amended and re-
enacted as follows:

§ 22-161. Sale or exchange of property. — The school
board shall have the same power to sell or exchange and convey
the real and personal school property of the county as the gov-
erning body of the county has with reference to the power of
sale, exchange and conveyance of other county property under
§ 15-692, provided that personal property not exceeding five
hundred dollars in value may be sold or exchanged by the school
board * in such manner and upon such terms as it deems proper.
