Chap. 337.—An ACT to Amend and Re-enact an Act Entitled an Act to
Fix the Compensation of the Members of the Board of Supervisors of
Lee, Wise, Scott, Buchanan, Russell and Bland Counties, and for other
Purposes, approved March 21st, 1872.

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That
the second section of an act entitled an act to amend and re-
enact an act entitled an act to fix the compensation of the
members of the board of supervisors of Lee, Wise, Scott,
Buchanan, Russell and Bland counties, and for other purposes,
approved March twenty-first, eighteen hundred and seventy-
two, be amended and re-enacted so as to read as follows:
§ 2. The judges and clerks of any election held in the coun-
ties mentioned in the first section of this act, under chapter
seventy-six of the acts of eighteen hundred and sixty-nine-
seventy, entitled an act to provide fora general election, ap-
proved May eleventh, eighteen hundred and seventy, shall re-
ceive a per diem compensation for their services of one dollar
each ; and the judge carrying the returns from his township to Pay
the county clerk’s office shall receive for said service the sum of pas
five cents for each mile necessarily traveled, to be paid out of ofic
the county treasury.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage. - Com
