Chap. 311.-—An ACT Appropriating a Sum of Money for the Protection
of the Eastern Lunatic Asylum from Destruction by Fire.
Approved March 381, 1873.
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That
the sum of four thousand dollars, or so much thereof as may
be necessary, be and the same is hereby appropriated out of
any money in the treasury not otherwise appropriated, to the
Eastern Lunatic Asylum to purchase and put up a forcing
pump in connection with the present steam-heating engine,
and the necessary hose and other apparatus for the protection
of the buildings of said instjtution from destruction by fire,
said sum to be paid to the board of directors of said asylum as
the same may be necessary for the purpose aforesaid.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
