Chap. 300.—An ACT to Amend and Re-enact Section 26 of Chapter 57,
Goda of 1860, in Relation to Certificates of Stock.

Approved March 29, 1873.

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That :
section twenty-six of chapter fifty-seven of the Code of eigh- C
teen hundred and sixty, be amended and re-enacted so as to
read as follows:

§ 26. The president and directors shall issue to each person
appearing on the books of the company as owner of any shares
of stock fully paid on, a certificate for such shares, under the.
seal of the company, signed by the president and countersigned
by the secretary, treasurer or cashier.

2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
