Chap. 290.—An AOT to Authorize the Trustees of Main Street Methodist
Episcopal Church South, in Danville, to borrow Money.

Approved March 29, 1873.

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That,
for the purpose of making improvements, the trustees of Main
street Methodist Episcopal church, south, of the town of Dan-
ville, Virginia, be and they are hereby authorized to borrow,
from time to time, such sums as may be necessary for the pur-
pose, not exceeding five thousand dollars, at arate of interest
not exceeding ten per centum per annum, and to execute a
deed of trust or mortgage on all or a portion of their real es-
tate, to secure the payment of thesame. For the sums so bar-
rowed, certificates may be issued, either in the form of regis-
tered or coupon, payable not exceeding twenty years after date,
with the interest payable semi-annually, and authenticated in
such manner as the said trustees, by order entered of record,
shall direct.

2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
