Chap. 271.—An ACT to Authorize the Leesburg and Aldie Turnpike
Company to Issue Preferred Stock.

Approved March 28, 1873.

Whereas, it is represented to the general assembly that the
Leesburg and Aldie turnpike is well graded throughout its
entire length: therefore,

1. Be it enacted, That said company may open books at.
Leesburg and Aldie, under such persons as its board of di-
rectors may appoint, for receiving subscription to its capital ;
stock, under such terms as may be authorized by its stock-:
holders in general meeting, to be applied to metaling the road |
and to the change of location south of Goose creek bridge, and |
to the making of such branches as are now authorized by law:
provided, that its total capital stock shall not exceed the amount
now authorized by its charter.

2. This act shall be in force from its passage. (
