Chap. 204.—An ACT to Authorize the Corporate Authorities of Winches-
ter to Borrow Money.
Approved March 20, 1873.
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly, That the president
and common council of the corporation of Winchester, in the
county of Frederick, be and they are hereby authorized to
borrow such sum or sums of money as they may deem requi-
site, not exceeding fifteen thousand dollars, and at a rate of
interest not exceeding eight per centum per annum, to be used
in paying such debts of said corporation, now in existence, as
may be already due and payable, and such debts, now in ex-
istence, as may fall due and payable during the years eighteen
hundred and seventy-three and eighteen and seventy four; and
that said president and common council be and they are hereby
empowered to issue either registered or coupon bonds, in the
name of the mayor and commonalty of the town of Winches-
ter, for such sums as may be borrowed, and pledge the funds
and property of said corporation for the payment of the prin-
cipal and interest.
_ 2. That all acts and parts of acts inconsistent with the pro
visions of this act be and the same are hereby repealed.
3. This act shall be 3 in force from its passage.
