Chap. 203.—An ACT to Authorize the Board of Supervisors of Bath
County to Borrow Money to Vefray the Cost of Erecting a Bridge over
the Cowpasture River.
Approved March 20, 1873.
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That
it shall be lawful for the board of supervisors of Bath county,
at any regular or special meeting, by a vote of 4 majority of all
imembers elected to said board, to borrow a sum not exceeding
fifteen hundred dollars, for the purpose of defraying the cost
of erecting a bridge across the Cowpasture river, in said county,
and to issue, negotiate and sell the bond or bonds of said
county for such loan, bearing a rate of interest not exceeding
eight per centum per annum, payable at such time as may
be determined by the board of supervisors, not exceeding
five years after date. The bonds issued under this act
shall be signed by the chairman of said board, and be attested
by the clerk of the board under the seal of the county or of the
county court.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
