Chap. 82.—An ACT to amend Chapter 94 of the Acts of the General Assembly
of 1934, by adding thereto a new section to be known as Section No. 41%4-B;
providing for the issuance of permits to certain establishments serving food
in Virginia to keep upon their premises and use for culinary purposes
alcoholic beverages which they are not authorized by any license to sell; em-
powering the Virginia Alcoholic Beverage Control Board to adopt such
regulations as may be necessary to confine the issuance of these permits to
legitimate purposes; and to grant or deny such permits when in their opinion
the same should be done; and to suspend or revoke any such permit previously
issued by the Virginia Alcoholic Beverage Control Board. [S 155]

.Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
1, That chapter ninety-four of the Acts of the General As-
sembly of nineteen hundred thirty-four be amended by adding
thereto a new section to be known as section number forty-one
and one-half-B, which shall read as follows:
Section 414%4-B. Notwithstanding the provisions of section
forty-one and section forty-one and one-half of the Alcoholic Bev-
erage Control Act, the Virginia Alcoholic Beverage Control Board
is empowered to grant a permit which will enable such persons
as the Board may deem fit for such purposes to keep upon the
premises of such person or persons alcoholic beverages which such
person is not authorized by any license to sell. These alcoholic
beverages shall be for culinary purposes only.
2. The Virginia Alcoholic Beverage Control Board is author-
ized to adopt such regulations as it may deem necessary to confine
the issuance of such permits to such person or persons as it may
deem fit for the purpose, and the Virginia Alcoholic Beverage Con-
trol Board may grant or deny such permits when in its opinion
the granting or denying of such permit is in the best interest of
the observance of the provisions of the Alcoholic Beverage Control
Act.
3. The Virginia Alcoholic Beverage Control Board may like-
wise suspend or revoke any permit issued under this section when
in its opinion it is to the best interest of the observance of the
provisions of the Alcoholic Beverage Control Act that such permit
be suspended or revoked.
4. The procedure for the suspending or revoking of any permit
issued under this section shall be in accordance with section
twenty-five of the Alcoholic Beverage Control Act.
