Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1. That the Code of Virginia be amended by adding a new
section numbered three hundred twenty-one-a, as follows:

Section 32l-a. Records of Governor; preservation.—The Gov-
ernor preceding the end of his term of office shall have delivered to
the State Library for safekeeping all correspondence of his office
during his term; provided that this shall not apply to correspon-
dence of a personal or private nature, the decision thereon to be
made by the Governor.
