Chap. 521.—An ACT to amend and reenact Section 1514-b 21 of the Code of
Virginia relating to penalties for violation of State Water Control Law.[H 502]

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
1. That section fifteen hundred fourteen-b twenty-one of the Code
of Virginia be amended and reenacted as follows:
Section 1514-b 21. Penalties—Any owner violating any provisions
of this chapter or failing, neglecting or refusing to comply with any
special final order of the Board, or a court, lawfully issued as herein pro-
vided, shall, upon conviction be liable to a fine of not less than fifty
dollars ($50.00), nor more than five hundred dollars ($500.00) for
each violation within the discretion of the court, and each day of con-
tinued violation after conviction shall constitute a separate offense and
may subject the system, business, or establishment causing pollution in
violation of this law to abatement as a nuisance.
