Chap. 362.—An ACT to amend Chapter 527 of the Acts of Assembly of 1891-92,
approved March 1, 1892, being the charter of the town of Gate City, Virginia,
by adding thereto a section numbered 25, to authorize the council to negotiate
and contract with reference to connecting the town water or sewerage system
with any such system not belonging to the town. {H 526]

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
1. That chapter five hundred twenty-seven of the Acts of Assembly
of eighteen hundred ninety-one-ninety-two, approved March first,
eighteen hundred ninety-two, being the charter of the town of Gate City,
Virginia, be amended by adding thereto a section numbered twenty-five
as follows:
Section 25. The council of the town of Gate City shall have. power
and authority to negotiate and contract with any person, firm, corporation,
municipality, or sanitary district with regard to the connection of the
town water system or sewerage system with the water system or sewerage
system now in operation or hereafter to be established or constructed. by
any such person, firm, corporation, municipality, or sanitary district, and
with regard to any other matter necessary and proper for the construction
or operation and maintenance of any such systems by the town of Gate
City.
2. An emergency exists and this act is in force from its passage.
