Chap. 273.—An ACT for the relief of L. Hammer. (H 141)

Whereas, certain agents, employees, and servants of the State
Highway Commission were engaged in the construction of that
road known as Route 640 in Highland County, Virginia; and,
Whereas, it was necessary to do certain blasting at times during
nineteen hundred forty-one through nineteen hundred forty-three
which resulted in damage to property owned by Mr. L. Hammer;
Now, Therefore,
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
1. That there be paid to Mr. L. Hammer, out of the funds
appropriated to the Department of Highways, the sum of one
hundred fifty-four dollars sixty cents, such payment to be made
by the State Treasurer upon a warrant issued by the Comptroller.
2. An emergency exists and this act is in force from its passage.
