Whereas, certain agents, employees, and servants of the State
Highway Commission were employing a truck belonging to W. C.
Smith, RFD No. 2, Amherst, Virginia, in the construction of a
certain road, known as Route 610, in Amherst County, Virginia, on
March seventh, nineteen hundred and forty-seven; and
Whereas, in the progress of unloading material from a Highway
truck, it backed into the truck of W. C. Smith, which was stationary,
resulting in damage to grill, radiator and head lights; Now, There-
fore,
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
1. That there be paid to W. C. Smith, out of funds appro-
priated to the Department of Highways, the sum of eighty-three
dollars and twenty-three cents, such payment to be made by the
State Treasurer upon a warrant issued by the Comptroller.
