Chap. 263.—An ACT to amend the Code of Virginia by adding a new section
numbered 2773-g 1 relating to bonds of county officers and employees in
certain counties. [S 286]

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
1. That the Code of Virginia be amended by adding a new
section numbered twenty-seven hundred seventy-three-g one as
follows:
Section 2773-g 1. The officers of the county shall give such
bonds as are now required by general law, except that the bond
of the treasurer shall be in such penalty as the court or judge may
require, but not less than fifteen per centum of the amount to
be received annually by him. In addition thereto, the board of
county supervisors shall have power to fix and require bonds in
excess of the amounts so required, and to require bonds of other
county officers and employees in their discretion, conditioned on the
faithful discharge of their duties and the proper accounting for
all funds coming into their possession.
2. An emergency exists and this act is in force from its
passage.
