Chap. 261.—An ACT to authorize the Commissioner of the Division of Motor
Vehicles to enter into a deed with the Richmond, Fredericksburg and Potomac
Kaiiruad Company settling certain rights and easements connected with tre
parcel of land on West Broad Street, Richmond, Virginia, recentiy acquired
by the Commonwealth of Virginia for the use of the Division of Mctor
Vehicles. [S$ 247]

Be it enaeted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
1. That the Commissioner of the Division of Motor Vehicles
is hereby authorized to enter into a deed in the name of the Com-
monwealth of Virginia with the Richmond, Fredericksburg and
Potomac Railroad Company giving to each the right of use in
common for vehicular and pedestrian traffic in and over a twenty-
seven foot strip of land approximately three hundred feet in length
lying on the east side of a parcel of land on West Broad Street
in the city of Richmond, Virginia, recently acquired by the Com-
monwealth of Virginia, by deed dated October three, nineteen hun-
dred forty-seven, from Miller and Rhoads Building Corporation,
by its directors and liquidating trustees; and further, to extinguish
an easement for trackage over the property of the Railroad Com-
pany upon agreement by the Railroad to provide trackage to said
land when called upon so to do, and the Secretary of the Common-
wealth of Virginia is authorized and directed to attest the said deed
and affix the lesser seal of the Commonwealth of Virginia thereto.
2. An emergency existing, this act shall be in effect from the
date of passage.
