Chap. 249.—An ACT to amend and reenact Section 4184, as ansented, of the
Code of Virginia, relating to records of fires required to be kept by the State
Corporation Commission; and to repeal Section 4185 of the Code of Virginia,
relating to certain reports of fires., H 108]

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
1. That section forty-one hundred eighty-four, as amended, of
the Code of Virginia, be amended and reenacted as follows:
Section 4184. Records of fires; when open to public inspection.
—The State Corporation Commission shall keep in its office a record
of all fires occurring in the State investigation of which is provided
for in this chapter, together with all facts, statistics and circum-
stances concerning the same, including the origin of the fires. Such
records shall not be open to public inspection, except in so far as
the Commission shall permit otherwise.
2. Section forty-one hundred eighty-five of the Code of Vir-
ginia is repealed.
3. This amendment and repeal shall become effective on and
after July one, nineteen hundred forty-eight.
