Chap. 211.—An ACT to authorize certain produce market authorities to acquire
by purchase, lease or condemnation, real estate necessary for its corporate pur-
poses, which real estate may be located within or without the corporate limits
of the city for which it is established; and to provide that any such market
authority may be located either within or without such city. {H 418]

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
1. Any produce market authority established pursuant to
chapter two hundred and fifty-seven of the Acts of the General
Assembly of Virginia of nineteen hundred and forty shall have
the power to acquire by purchase or lease, on such terms and
conditions and in such manner as it may deem proper, or by con-
demnation in accordance with and subject to the provisions of
sections forty-three hundred and sixty to forty-three hundred and
eighty-three and section thirty-eight hundred thirty-two of the
Code of Virginia, or by gift, such real property, or rights or ease-
ments therein, as it may be necessary to acquire to effect its cor-
porate purposes, and to sell or dispose of the same, or any portion
thereof or interest therein, whenever it shall become expedient to
do so; all real property so acquired by any such authority may be
located within or without the corporate limits of the city for which
such authority is established. Any such authority may be located
either within or without such city.
2. All acts or parts of acts inconsistent with this act are
repealed to the extent of such inconsistencies.
