Chap. 143.—An AOT to Authorize the Trustees of Hamilton Lodge, No.
37, Ancient Free and Accepted Masons, to Borrow Money for the Pur-
pose of Erecting a Mascnic Hall.

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly, That it shall be
lawful for the trustees of Hamilton lodge, number thirty-seven,
Ancient Free and Accepted Masons, with the consent of said
lodge, to borrow a sum of money not exceeding the sum of one
thousand dollars, said sum to be divided and borrowed at
such times as they may desire, and at such rate of interest not
exceeding the rate now allowed by law as may be agreed upon,
for the purpose of erecting a Masonic hall on a lot of ground
now owned by them; and they may execute a mortgage on the
said building when erected to secure the payment of such sum
as may be borrowed under the provisions of this act.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
