Chap. 103.—An ACT to Annex a Portion of the Territory of the County
of Franklin to the County of Floyd.
Approved February 26, 1873.
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That W
s0 much of the territory of the county of Franklin as is em- f
braced within the following limits, to wit: beginning ata stone *
in the Floyd and Franklin line six poles west of Cannady’s
gap and two poles of Noah Underwood's house; thence south
thirty degrees thirty minutes, west three hundred and eighty-
three poles, crossing two branches of Runnet Bag creek, to a
stone on Turner's knob; thence south fifty degrees forty-five
minutes, west five hundred and twenty poles, crossing Shoot-
ing creek and road to the Chimney rocks, in the Patrick line;
thence with that line two hundred and eighty poles to three
chestnut oaks, the corner of Patrick, Franklin and Floyd;
thence with the Floyd and Franklin line to the beginning, be
and the same is hereby annexed to the county of Floyd.
2. The territory so annexed shall be attached to the Little r
River township, in the county of Floyd, until the county court *
of Floyd county shall, under this act, apportion the territory so a
annexed between the township of Jacksonville and the Little
River township.
3. This act shall be in force from its passage. C
