Chap. 90.—An ACT to amend and re-enact Section 3121 of the Code of Virginia
relating to formation of fire companies. [H B 126]

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
1. That section thirty-one hundred twenty-one of the Code of Vir-
ginia be amended and re-enacted, as follows:
Section 3121. How many persons may form a fire company.—
Any number of persons, not less than twenty nor more than ninety, re-
siding in a city, town, or county, may form themselves into a company
for extinguishing fires. The powers, duties and responsibilities con-
ferred or imposed upon the governing bodies of cities and towns under
this chapter one hundred twenty-five of the Code shall be applicable in
any county in which the governing body elects to come under the pro-
visions of this chapter.
