Chap. 49.—An ACT to provide that certain property occupied as a residence by
a circuit judge and excluded from territory annexed to a city because of such
residence, shall remain a part of the county as long as it is so occupied.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia, as follows:
1. In any case in which territory has heretofore been annexed to
a city and the court, in its order of annexation, has excluded, for a period
of time beyond the effective date thereof, property owned and occupied
as a residence by the judge of a circuit court whose circuit does not 1n-
clude the annexing city, the property so excluded in the order shall be
and remain a part of the county of which it was a part at the time of
the entry of the order of annexation so long as same is owned and oc-
cupied by such judge as a residence; and upon the expiration of such
time the property shall immediately become a part of the city without
necessity of any further proceedings or the entry of any order to such
effect.
