Chap. 390.—An ACT to provide for the creation of an Advisory Committee on
Aviation in the Department of Corporations, State ‘Corporation Commission;
to prescribe the number and terms of the members, the duties of the Committee
and other related matters. [H B 271]

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
1. Section 1. An Advisory Committee on Aviation consisting of
seven members (hereinafter called “Committee’’) is created in the De-
partment of Corporations, State Corporation Commission, to consult and
advise with the Commission.
Section 2. The members of the Committee shall be appointed by
the Governor, the first appointments to be made as follows: two mem-
bers for terms of four years, two for terms of three years, two for terms
of two years and one for a term of one year, all beginning July one, nine-
teen hundred forty-six. Subsequent appointments shall be made for terms
of four years except appointments to fill vacancies which shall be for
the unexpired term.
Section 3. The members of the Committee shall receive a per diem
of ten dollars for each day of attendance on meetings of the Committee
and shall be reimbursed for their necessary and actual expenses incurred
in the performance of their duties hereunder, same to be payable out of
the aviation funds of the Corporation Commission.
The Committee shall elect its chairman and may elect one of its
members as its secretary; it shall meet not less than four times each year
and may meet oftener upon the call of the chairman or any four members.
Section 4. The Committee shall confer and advise with the Com-
mission upon such matters as arise in the performance of its duties under
chapter two hundred ninety-one, Acts of Assembly of nineteen hundred
thirty. as the same has been heretofore or may hereafter be amended,
and it shall perform such other relevant duties as the General Assembly
prescribes.
