Chap. 371.—An ACT to authorize the Governor on behalf of the Commonwealth
of Virginia to convey to the United States of America certain marsh lands or
interests therein on the sea side of the counties of Accomack and Northampton,
for the construction, operation and maintenance of a channel for small boats.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
1. The Governor of Virginia is authorized and empowered to ex-
ecute, in the name and on behalf of the Commonwealth of Virginia, a
deed or other appropriate instrument conveying to the United States of
America, without any consideration but subject to the jurisdictional
iimitations and reservations contained in ‘sections nineteen-a and nine-
teen-b of the Code of Virginia, such right, title and interest in or ease-
ment over and across the marshes lying along the sea side of the counties
of Accomack and Northampton as may be necessary and proper for the
‘construction, operation and maintenance of a canal or channel for small
boats over and through such marsh lands.
2. An emergency exists and this act is in force from its passage.
