Chap. 362.—An ACT to amend Chapter 94 of the Acts of the General Assembly
of 1934, approved March 7, 1934, and known as “The Alcoholic Beverage
Control Act”, by adding thereto a new section to be known as Section 58- b, to
Revenu for the shipment of alcoholic beverages into United States Internal
evenue bonded warehouses in Virginia; release of such alcoholic beverages
in Virginia, for delivery to ships engaged in foreign trade, or trade between
Atlantic and Pacific ports of the United States, or between the United States
and any of its possessions outside of the several states and the District of
lumbia; regulations of the Virginia Alcoholic Beverage Control Board
regarding the manner in which such release shall be made. (H B 219]

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
1. That chapter ninety-four of the Acts of the General Assembly
of nineteen hundred thirty-four, approved March seven, nineteen hun-
dred thirty-four, and known as “The Alcoholic Beverage Control Act”,
be amended by adding thereto a new section to be known as section
fifty-eight-b, as follows:
Section 58-b. Transportation of alcoholic beverages into United
States Internal Revenue bonded warehouses in Virginia; release of such
alcoholic beverages in Virginia for delivery in Virginia to ships engaged
in foreign trade, etc.; regulations of Board regarding same.—(a) Alco-
holic Beverages may be transported into Virginia under United States
Internal Revenue bond, and be held in Virginia in United States Internal
Revenue bonded warehouses; and alcoholic beverages may be removed
from any United States Internal Revenue bonded warehouse, wherever
situated, to a United States Internal Revenue bonded warehouse located
in Virginia, and be held in Virginia.
(b) Such alcoholic beverages so transported or removed to United
States Internal Revenue bonded warehouses in Virginia, shall be released
from Internal Revenue bond in Virginia, only on permits issued by the
Board for delivery to ships actually engaged in foreign trade or trade
between the Atlantic and Pacific ports of the United States, or between
the United States and any of its possessions outside of the several states
and the District of Columbia.
(c) The Board shall have the power to make such regulations as
it deems expedient or necessary for the purpose of carrying out the pro-
visions of this section, and to insure that such alcoholic beverages shall
be handled only in a manner provided by law.
2. An emergency exists and this act is in force from its passage.
