Chap. 356.—An ACT to provide for the sending of a certain book to the family
or nearest relative of each member of the armed forces of the United States
from Virginia who died in World War II; and to appropriate funds therefor.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
1. The World War II History Commission created by chapter
one hundred fifty-nine of the Acts of Assembly of nineteen hundred forty-
four is hereby authorized and directed to send a cloth bound copy of the
book which it has prepared, containing the names and histories of mem-
bers of the armed forces of the United States from Virginia who died in
World War II, to the parents and also to the spouse, if any, or if there be
none such, then to the nearest relative of such deceased member as soon
as this publication is ready for distribution.
2. In order to provide funds to carry out the provisions of this act
there is hereby appropriated to the Virginia World War II History
Commission, out of the general fund in the State Treasury a sum suff-
cient, not to exceed two thousand dollars, to be expended as herein pro-
vided.
