CHAP. 330.—An ACT to appropriate the sum of $30,000.00 or so much thereof
as may be necessary for the operation of the Division of War Veterans’ Claims
during the remainder of the present fiscal year ; to provide for expenditure there-
of, and to declare an emergency. fHI B 62]

Whereas, the funds heretofore appropriated for the expanded op-
trations of the Division of War Veterans’ Claims as authorized by chap-
ter fifty-six of the Acts of Assembly of nineteen hundred forty-five end-
ing June thirtieth, nineteen hundred forty-six, have proved insufficient ;
and
Whereas, the need of further expansion of said Division in accord-
ance with said chapter has been definitely demonstrated; Now there-
fore, be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
1. Section 1. There is hereby appropriated to the Division of
War Veterans’ Claims, out of the general fund of the State Treasury,
the sum of thirty thousand dollars ($30,000.00), or so much thereof
as may be necessary, for the enlargement and operation of the Division
for the period ending June thirtieth, nineteen hundred forty-six. | All
payments out of this appropriation shall be made by the Treasurer of
Virginia on warrants of the Comptroller, issued on vouchers. signed by
the Attorney General or by such other person or persons as shall be
designated by him for the purpose.
Section 2. The enlargement and operation of the Division shall be
governed by the applicable provisions of chapter fifty-six of the Acts of
Assembly of nineteen hundred forty-five.
2. An emergency exists and this act is in force from its passage.
