Whereas, certain agents, servants and employees of the State High-
way Commission were making certain repairs to that road known as
route one in Henrico County, Virginia, on July thirty-first, nineteen hun-
dred forty-four; and,
Whereas, W. W. Mallory, of Ashland, Virginia, was passing the
point under repair in his car; and,
Whereas, a piece of stone thrown from a hole in the road by a
prisoner struck the car belonging to W. W. Mallory, breaking the wind-
shield ; now, therefore,
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
1. That there be paid to W. W. Mallory, out of funds appropriated
to the Department of Highways, the sum of ten dollars ninety-four cents,
such payment ‘to be made by the State Treasurer upon a warrant issued
by the Comptroller.
