Chap. 268.—An ACT to authorize State departments, agencies and institutions to
dispose of certain electric and power lines under certain conditions. [H B 400]

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
1. Any State department or agency, or State institution through
its governing board, is authorized, after having first obtained the consent
of the Governor in writing, to sell and convey all of its right, title and
interest and that the State in and to any electric or power line under its
control to any utility or power company when such sale or conveyance
is deemed expedient and to execute the instruments and documents
necessary to effectuate such sale and conveyance.
This authority shall likewise include, subject to the preceding con-
ditions, the power to sell and convey the transformers or other apparatus
necessary to the proper functioning of anv such electric or power line.
All funds received from any such sale shall be paid into the State
treasury to be expended as provided by law.
